When Livingston signed a deal with UK label Manta Ray Music in October 2006, they had already been halfway across Europe, touring the UK, Ireland and Greece.
Livingston formed in London where the band’s members met for the first time, after immigrating to the capital from Italy, Germany and South Africa. With Phil joining a little later, the band gained their only British member.
Over the course of the next two years the band would spend time recording their debut album in three locations: Steakhouse Studio in Los Angeles, at Sonic Ranch Studios in El Paso, Texas & El Cortijo in the sunny hills of Marbella, Spain.
They started touring Germany in late 2007 supporting their chart-topping friends Revolverheld, which began an adventure that kept them touring the next 14 months with such diverse acts as the UK indie outfit The Duke Spirit, German hard rockers Blind, and the mega selling Ich+Ich.
Along the way Livingston had the chance to play in front of tens of thousands, in everything from small rock clubs to arenas, meeting many wonderful people and making an enormous number of new friends.
Livingston’s debut album, Sign Language, was released on Universal/Vertigo on October 9th 2009, landing at #16 in the German Top 20 charts.
Their lead single “Broken” was also a huge success. “Broken” was no1-seller on amazon in the category rock and no2 on iTunes as well in the category rock. Moreover the single was a Top 20 Hit in Radio Airplay Charts and No2 in the MTV Video Charts.
Following a European tour at the end of 2010, Livingston recorded their second album “Fire To Fire” with 3-time-Grammy-winner David Bottrill (Placebo -“Battle for the Sun”; Muse – “Origin of Symmetry”) in April 2011.
“Fire to Fire” is due to come out in Germany on March 30th and the band’s debut single “Supernova” will be released on March 16th.
